Meet Mrs. Roy –
Mrs. Roy is a dedicated principal with over 20 years in education, including more than a decade serving in Catholic schools. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in PreK-Primary Education, a Master’s in Reading K-12, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. Passionate about nurturing young minds, Mrs. Roy is deeply committed to fostering an environment where children grow academically and spiritually. She strives to inspire both students and staff to embrace the values of love and service, always encouraging them to honor the Hearts of Jesus and Mary in their daily lives.

Meet Mrs. Liscano-Acosta –
Mrs. Liscano-Acosta was born in Cali, Colombia and has been happily married for 40 years. She is blessed with three children and eight grandchildren. For over 20 years, Mrs. Liscano-Acosta has dedicated her life to working with youth and foster care, serving as a certified Lay Minister to guide young people and their families in faith. She takes great pride in witnessing the youth’s willingness to surrender their own identity and choices to allow Christ to lead them. As the school registrar, she is here to support and assist our Little Flower families throughout the admissions process and ensure that our families experience always reflects our Christian values.

Kindergarten

1st Grade
Meet Mrs. Fariello –
Mrs. Fariello has been at Little Flower Catholic school for 19 years. She taught Kindergarten for 17 years and now teaches First grade. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s degree in Reading from Nova Southeastern University. Mrs. Fariello has been a Florida certified educator since 2015 and also has her Catechetical Certification through the Archdiocese of Miami. She assists in planning and coordinating LFCS’s annual career day and Mother’s and Father’s Day events.
She believes strongly in creating a warm, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, safe and excited to learn. Mrs. Fariello was married and had her two children baptized at Little Flower Catholic Church. Her two children and nieces currently attend Little Flower. Outside of the classroom she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and reading good books. Her mission is to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning through hands-on experiences, differentiated instruction, and a strong partnership with families.

2nd Grade
Meet Mrs. Kearns –
Mrs. Kearns has 43 years of teaching experience, 36 of which have been at Little Flower. She is currently teaching second grade and taught fourth grade for 7 years. Mrs. Kearns holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, is Florida certified and a certified Catechist through the Archdiocese of Miami and has completed an additional coaching certificate from USF. In addition to her teaching role, she serves as the director of the after-school care program.
Mrs. Kearns is passionate about preparing both our school and religious education students for First Communion. She encourages students to put God first, to always give their best and thrives on building meaningful connections with them. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Kearns enjoys volunteering within the parish and spending quality time with her husband and family.

3rd Grade
Meet Mrs. Khalil-Dagher –
Mrs. Khalil-Dagher, who joined LFCS in 2024, teaches 3rd & 4th grade English Language Arts (ELA), social studies, and religion. She is a dedicated educator with 20 years of experience in education and has a Bachelor’s degree in History from the Holy Spirit University of Lebanon. She also teaches special Arabic and French classes, aiming to provide a well-rounded education. Raised in a strong Catholic environment, both in school and university, she is passionate about ensuring that her students maintain a solid foundation in Catholic values.
She views her students as an extension of her own family, offering them love, guidance, and encouragement. Outside of the classroom, she is active in her parish, assists in preparing children for First Communion, singing in the choir, and representing the Maronite Eparchy of Brooklyn within the Synod of Women in the Maronite Patriarchate. She is thankful to be a part of the LFCS family.

4th Grade
Meet Mr. Scirghio –
Mr. Scirghio is our math, science, and religion teacher for 3rd and 4th grade, has been teaching at LFCS since 2022. A proud alumnus of the school, he has been part of the LFCS community for the majority of his life. His deep connection to the school enhances his passion for educating the next generation of students, and he strives to give back to the community that helped shape him.
Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. His education, combined with his love for teaching, allows him to create a positive and engaging environment where students can grow academically and spiritually.
In the classroom, Mr. Scirghio is known for creating an interactive learning experience, whether teaching math, science, or religion. He works to make each subject accessible and enjoyable, while guiding students in developing a strong sense of moral integrity and a deep appreciation for their faith.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Scirghio enjoys spending time with his cats, Kitty, Bean, and Stella, gaming on his PC, and participating in parish activities. His mission as an educator is to inspire students to see the beauty of God’s creation in everything they learn and experience

5th Grade
Meet Mrs. Leon –
Mrs. Leon, English Language Arts teacher for grades 5 through 8, has been at LFCS since 2021. With over 24 years of experience in education, she holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Education from Florida International University. She has been a Florida State certified educator since May 1, 2000 and has also fulfilled the requirements for Catechetical Certification through the Archdiocese of Miami.
Outside of the classroom, she spends time with her family, loves to read, and finds joy in praying the rosary. Her mission as an educator is to create a love of God, as well as a peaceful, prayerful environment that fosters a love of reading and writing.

Social Studies
Meet Mr. Maas –
Mr. Maas is LFCS’s Middle School Social Studies teacher. He teaches American History, Civics and Economics, World History, general social studies for 5th grade, as well as speech and public speaking. Mr. Maas is the LFCS Athletic Director and assists in coaching teams when needed.
Before returning to teaching, Mr. Maas was actively involved in his career of law enforcement. He has been honored and humbled by receiving the St. Sylvester award from the Vatican ( Pope Benedict ) the highest award given for dedication to law enforcement and was inducted into the Florida Law Enforcement Hall of Fame in Tallahassee in 2018. His teaching philosophy is to help students learn in every way possible and to retain that knowledge moving forward. When he is not volunteering his time teaching religious education or being a lector at Mass, he enjoys coaching and sports of all kinds.

Meet Mrs. Van Ry –
Mrs. Van Ry has been teaching middle school math at Little Flower since 2017, bringing over a decade of experience in education. A proud alumni of Little Flower, she finds joy in teaching at the school where her journey began. Mrs. Van Ry holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education and has been dedicated to shaping young minds since 2012.
Mrs. Van Ry encourages students to embrace challenges and view their mathematical journey as a continuous process of improvement. In addition to her role as a teacher, Mrs. Van Ry coaches volleyball at Little Flower, fostering teamwork and leadership both in and out of the classroom.

Meet Mrs. Kidd –
Mrs. Kidd has been the Science Teacher in Little Flower Catholic School since 2004. She holds a Master’s Degree in both Biology and Geography, a minor in Education, and a Catechetical Certification through the Archdiocese of Miami. During her more than thirty years in education she’s worked as a technical executive in college, as a biology and geography teacher in high school, and as a general science teacher in middle school. Marta was the recipient of the “For Our Children” Award in 1994 and 1996 in her native country, Hungary, the “Excellence in Teaching” Deaver Foundation Award in 2006, and the Msgr. Agustin Roman Catechist Award in 2023.
She is passionate about teaching and committed to give the best possible education to her students, which she believes is only possible through team work with the parents.
In her free time she enjoys reading, gardening, and escape room challenges. During the summer she loves to take road trips and discover beautiful places.

Religion
Meet Sr. Michelle –
Sr. Michelle is in her first year as the Middle School Religion teacher for grades 5–8 at Little Flower. She holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Florida State University, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University, and a Florida Teacher Certification (K–6).Since joining the Institute of the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, founded by Mother Adela Galindo in 2003, she has served in the Archdiocese of Miami as Director of the North Dade Pregnancy Center, a teacher and administrator at the Cathedral of St. Mary School, a Middle School Religion Teacher at St. Agnes Academy , a Director of Religious Education at All Saints Catholic Parish, and as Director of Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Peoria, Illinois.
Born in Miami to Cuban parents, Sr. Michelle was born without her left arm but with God’s “Happy Face” imprinted at the end. Her life is a testament to how the Lord transforms brokenness into goodness. She enjoys studying the saints, Marian apparitions, and Christian music. Passionate about helping others recognize their dignity and worth, she strives to build a civilization of love, life, truth, and solidarity.

Spanish, Art
Meet Mrs. Fabre –
Mrs. Fabre teaches Art and Spanish as a second language to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education with a Certificate in Elementary Education and a Graduate Level Certification in Special Education. With 25 years of teaching experience, she has taught various subjects at the elementary and intermediate levels, always striving to create a positive and enriching learning environment.
In addition to her teaching career, Mrs. Fabre has experience in restaurant management and the banking sector, which has allowed her to develop organizational and customer service skills. Her teaching philosophy is based on fostering creativity, critical thinking, and respect, helping students express themselves and develop a love for learning. Outside the classroom, she enjoys cooking, playing musical instruments, music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. God is the center of her home and life, which guides her purpose both personally and professionally.

Physical Education
Meet Mrs. Wolfe –
Mrs. Wolfe, is a dedicated Physical Education teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching K-8th grade students. Passionate about promoting healthy living and active lifestyles, she fosters a fun and engaging learning environment for children of all ages. Alongside her teaching role, she has been a committed middle school volleyball coach, guiding young athletes to develop not only their skills but also teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. With a deep love for both teaching and coaching, Angie works hard to inspire and motivate her students, helping them grow both physically and personally.

Campus Ministry
Meet Sr. Rose Marie –
Sr. Rose Marie, a religious sister with the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, professed her first vows on February 2, 2023. Since 2023, she has been serving at Little Flower Catholic School as Campus Minister for grades K through 8th grade, coordinating liturgical and spiritual activities for the school community.
Dedicated to evangelization and formation of the human heart to build a new civilization of love, life, truth, and solidarity, in the heart of the Church, Sr. Rose Marie believes it is a privilege to guide our students in discovering the love of Christ and to form them in responding to His plan of love for their life lived in and through His Church.

Technology Director
Meet Mrs. Franceschini –
Mrs. Franceschini holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming and an associate degree in Business Administration. She served in the US Army for 4 years as a 74 Delta, supporting computer operations and worked for a health insurance company in Miami for 10 years, managing computer operations and scheduling.
In 2002, she began teaching at Little Flower Catholic School, where her son, now a Firefighter/Paramedic in Orange County, was a student. Mrs. Franceschini began as LFCS’s computer teacher and Technology Director for grades K-8 and she now holds the position of Technology & Athletic Director. She also coached middle school volleyball for many years.
Passionate about teaching and learning technology, she believes in leading by example with discipline, respect, and kindness. Meet Ms. Uricola –
As a devoted alumnus of LFCS, Ms. Uricola has had the privilege of serving as a teacher’s assistant at Little Flower for the past twenty years and has supported students across various elementary grade levels, ranging from pre-kindergarten to fourth grade. LFCS has become an integral part of her life, much like a second home. Ms. Uricola’s niece and nephew both graduated from LFCS and her mother dedicated many years assisting families in the school’s front office before retiring.
As LFCS graduate and staff member, she takes pride in our dedication to fostering community, family values, and teaching the Catholic faith. Ms.Uricola finds immense satisfaction in working with young students and observing their spiritual and academic growth throughout the years. Once a leopard, always a leopard – LFCS proud!

Meet Mrs. Peralta –
Mrs. Peralta is a teacher assistant for 3rd and 4th grade, supporting students in ELA, Social Studies, and Religion. Originally from Argentina, she attended technical school before beginning her career in education. For the past 12 years, Mrs. Peralta has worked as a teacher assistant for the Archdiocese of Miami, collaborating closely with classroom teachers to foster a structured and supportive learning environment. She is passionate about helping children thrive both academically and personally, ensuring they feel confident and empowered in their abilities. Her dedication to education is deeply rooted in her faith.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Peralta is actively involved in her parish community, where she leads the Lectors Ministry, organizing and guiding church readings. Family is at the heart of everything she does. She is happily married and blessed with two adult children and one in high school. Her faith, family, and love for education inspire her to make a meaningful impact in the lives of her students and community.
