OCIA Important Information<\/strong><\/p>\r\n For those interested in becoming Catholic and\/or receiving the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation, please register below.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n WHAT IS OCIA? <\/strong><\/p>\r\n The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is the process the Catholic Church uses to help non-Catholics learn more about the Church and, if they desire it, actually become Catholic. It is where adults consciously and freely seek the faith and allow that God touches their lives and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit enters their hearts. It is a time of spiritual strengthening and preparation for fruitfully receiving the sacraments of initiation into the Roman Catholic Church.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n WHO IS IT FOR?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n The OCIA is for any adult or child (over the age of 7) who is interested in learning about and converting to Catholicism or for those baptized Catholics who need to complete the sacraments of First Holy Communion and\/or Confirmation.<\/p>\r\n HOW IT WORKS?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Adult OCIA meetings are held on Sunday morning, as well as Sunday morning Mass dismissals. School age OCIA students attend the grade and year appropriate classes in the Religious Education Program on weekly sessions as well as Sunday morning Mass dismissals. The candidate participates in the liturgical year while learning about the faith and the teachings of the Church and, in the process, journeys towards the celebration of the sacraments of initiation. The timeline for each individual is influenced and determined by the many forms of God\u2019s grace, the free cooperation of the individuals, the action of the Church, and the circumstances of time and place.<\/p>\r\n \u00bfQUE SIGNIFICA EL RICA?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n El Ritual de la Iniciaci\u00f3n Cristiana de Adultos es el proceso por el cual los adultos consciente y libremente buscan al Dios vivo y entrar en el camino de la fe y la conversi\u00f3n seg\u00fan Esp\u00edritu Santo entra en sus corazones. Es un momento de fortalecimiento espiritual y preparaci\u00f3n para recibir el fruto de los sacramentos de iniciaci\u00f3n en la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica Romana.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n El RICA es tambi\u00e9n un proceso que prepara a los estudiantes, en el segundo grado o superior, para ser bautizado, para celebrar su Primera Comuni\u00f3n, y \/ o ser confirmado si tienen la edad apropiada.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \u00bfPARA QUIEN ES?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n El RICA es para cualquier adulto o ni\u00f1o que est\u00e9 interesado en conocer y convertirse al catolicismo, o para aquellos cat\u00f3licos bautizados que necesitan completar los sacramentos de Primera Comuni\u00f3n y \/ o Confirmaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \u00bfC\u00d3MO FUNCIONA?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Las reuniones de RICA para Adultos se llevan a cabo los domingos. Estudiantes RICA de edad escolar asisten al grado y a\u00f1o propio de sus clases en el Programa de Educaci\u00f3n Religiosa los martes, as\u00ed como el domingo por la ma\u00f1ana deber\u00e1n participar en la misa de 9:30 am y luego antes de la profesi\u00f3n de fe saldr\u00e1n en procesi\u00f3n con sus catequistas y detr\u00e1s los adulto. El \/ los candidatos participan en el a\u00f1o lit\u00fargico mientras aprenden acerca de la fe y las ense\u00f1anzas de la Iglesia, el periodo de formaci\u00f3n que los lleva hacia la celebraci\u00f3n de los sacramentos de iniciaci\u00f3n.
